The Good Food and Slow Food UK Bursary
Slow Food UK is part of the international, 80,000-strong Slow Food movement, which promotes food that is good, clean and fair. In the UK this is achieved by spreading taste education, defending biodiversity, connecting producers with co-producers and engaging the youth to shape the future of Slow Food.
Together we have created a BBC Good Food Show and Slow Food UK Bursary for outstanding producers. Visitors and the general public have been involved in nominating their favourite producers from around the country to be eligible for this Bursary.
The Bursary gives the opportunity for a producer to attend the show when normally they may not be able to afford it. This is a golden opportunity to showcase the very best the UK has to offer, and provide that producer with a tremendous boost to their business.
Perhaps you have seen an amazing producer at a farmers market, or maybe you buy their produce online, this is your chance to support them by nominating them for this fantastic opportunity.
To make your nomination click here and let us know the name of your chosen producer, why you think they should qualify for the Bursary and what is so special about their produce.
There will be an extensive schedule of Slow Food Taste Workshops at the Show where you will be able to taste produce and learn from Slow Food’s rich and diverse knowledge pool and taste education programmes. Workshop details will be posted here as soon as available.
