Family Weekend
On Saturday and Sunday, any paying adult could bring up to two children under 16 to the BBC Summer Good Food Show, absolutely FREE! (With children aged under 5 given free admission into the Show each day)
The BBC Summer Good Food Show was a perfect opportunity to educate children about food and cooking, with lots to see, do and taste around the Show. Your ticket provided visitors with access to BBC Gardeners' World Live too, where you could visit the Grow Your Own sponsored by NS&I, the ideal place to show children all about where their fruit and veg comes from.
We ran a whole host of family activities at the weekend, and on Saturday 19th June visitors could meet Katy Ashworth from CBeebies' I Can Cook.
Gardeners' Green sponsored by GreenThumb in the outside area of the Show was a huge success. At the weekend the area became the focus for family fun with face painting, Punch & Judy, giant garden games and much more. This year was particularly special because on Sunday 20th June it was Fathers' Day, with youngsters getting involved in all kinds of activities, including making one of these delightful garden lanterns with Dawn Isaac to decorate their gardens!

Gardeners Green weekdays
