Producers' Village, 2010

The Producers’ Village was packed with small speciality producers who specialise in local and seasonal produce. The area included pavilions dedicated to Slow Food UK full of producers of good, clean and fair food and drink, Henrietta Green’s popular FoodLoversBritain.com Fair and selected quality producers from the Ludlow Food Festival. Producers’ Village Picks

The Garlic Farm brought us an amazing range of chutneys and fresh garlic products over from the Isle of Wight.

 
Belvoir Fruit Farms  had a delicious range of cordials, juices and bubbly pressés. The Elderflower cordial was a must for summer drinks and cocktails,especially nice added to a sparkling wine!

The Good Chutney Company provided us with a brilliant range of chutneys and mustards and are winning awards like they are going out of fashion! Apparently the Pear Chutney is a favourite of the palace and the Curried Rhubarb chutney is perfect with a strong cheddar or some cold sliced pork.

Slow Food UK: The Slow Food Pavilion provided a chance to taste and learn about the provenance of speciality foods. Producers including chilli products from Edible Ornamentals, meat and game from Scotland's Blackface Meat Company and delicious oils from Casa De L'Oli. The Slow Food team answered questions about the Slow Food Movement and told how you can get involved both nationally and in your local area.

Henrietta Green’s FoodLoversBritain.com Fair, was a must for discerning food lovers, who could find local and regional food and drink. Producers included Perry Court Farm, The Well Hung Meat Company and Inverawe Smokehouse!
